This article, Siliconosis: A spectrum of illness enumerates the different symptoms, that might appear far away from the site of implantation.

Musculoskeletal pain syndrome:
  • overwhelming fatigue
  • arthralgias (joint pain)
  • myalgias
Other symptoms include:
  • chronic flulike state
  • chronic headache
  • irritable bowel syndrome
  • elevated cytokines
Some of them develop:
  • skin rash
  • alopecia (hair loss)
  • fever
  • lymphadenopathy
  • arthritis
  • Sjögren's-like disorder characterised by xerophthalmia (dry eyes) and xerostomia (dry mouth)
Neurological symptoms in the form of:
  • short-term memory loss,
  • paresthesias (burning or prickling sensation usually in the hands, arms, legs, or feet)
  • neuropathy
Over the years, symptoms are getting worse, and no diet or lifestyle-change helps if the implants remain in the body.
